International Service Projects.

Responsible for identifying international service projects of interest to the Rotary Club of Houston membership, and develops a plan for the implementation of international service projects in conjunction with other Rotary Clubs around the world.
Notable International Projects:
• Haiti - clean water systems and hospital supplies
• Pakistan - immunizations and health supplies
• Afghanistan – Polio vaccine and immunizations
• Ivory Coast – Aids/HIV, Tsunami relief
• Russia – Telemedicine project with Houston medical center
• Nicaragua - Orphanage “Children of the Dump”
• Africa – Textbooks for community libraries, medical supplies
• Student Exchange Program for study abroad
• Established bio-medical program providing equipment, training and support to hospitals in Haiti
• Provided 6500 bed nets to Africa for protection against malaria

Women Uplifting Women

Seven Women Centre is a nonprofit that offers fair-trade products and services. Stephanie Woollard, a member of the Rotary Club of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, and a former Rotary Peace Fellow, started the organization in 2006 to empower marginalized women in Nepal.
