ABOUT OUR GUEST SPEAKER

Dan Crenshaw has been featured on the National News Networks and published in The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, and numerous other newspapers and magazines. His Veterans Day appearance on Saturday Night Live was very memorable honoring our veterans. Watch the news story about his appearance here: https://youtu.be/sYPe35tbb9s.

Dan is from Houston, a proud 6th generation Texan, and a Tufts University graduate. During his SEAL training, he met his wife, Tara. After graduating from SEAL training, Dan deployed to Fallujah, Iraq, to join SEAL Team Three, his first of five deployments.

On Dan’s third deployment, he lost his right eye. He awoke from a medically induced coma learning that his right eye had been destroyed. His left eye was still present but badly damaged. Dan was completely blind, and doctors believed he would never see again. Tara stood by him every day and night, keeping the faith, and praying he would see again. After several difficult surgeries, he regained sight in his left eye, a “miracle” according to the surgeons. Dan refused to quit and went on to deploy two more times.
