Veteran's Committee
“We can’t all be heroes. Some of us have to stand on the curb and clap as they walk by.” — Will Rogers
The Veteran’s Committee works directly with the many Veterans Assistance organizations to help with emergency funding and construction of facilities where needed in our community. The committee plans and promotes the annual Veterans Day “Salute to Veterans” Luncheon Celebration honoring service men and women at the Junior League of Houston. This is annually the largest luncheon honoring veterans in our city. The committee also directly subsidizes “Honor Flight” with the goal of helping every single veteran in our area, willing and able of getting on a plane or a bus, visit their memorial. Top priority is given to America’s most senior heroes — survivors of World War II and any veteran with a terminal illness who wishes to visit.
Sponsor a Veterans Table
A sponsored Standard Table comes with eight event tickets, and if the table isn't filled by the sponsor, any open seats will be filled by Veterans.
A Featured Table, in addition to their eight tickets, will be sponsoring ten additional Veterans, for a total of 18 tickets. We will also recognize the Featured table sponsors during the program.
